Liputan6.com: During the year 2012, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has facilitated the acceleration of the implementation of 15 infrastructure projects composed of five priority programs (showcase project) and 10 non-priority projects. Of the project, total investment reached Rp 100.66 trillion disbursed.
"As a front office, BKPM instrumental in offering government projects to potential investors or to perform market sounding," said Director of Infrastructure Planning BKPM, Frits Horas Silalahi, Monday (25/02/2013).
BKPM data shows, the fifth showcase projects requiring investment funds reached Rp 54.52 trillion. The five projects are:
1. Project 2 x 1,000 MW power plant in Central Java
2. Tanah Ampo Cruise Terminal Project
3. Airport Railway Project Soetta-Manggarai
4. Toll Road Project Medan-Kualanamu
5. Drinking Water Project Umbulan
Since the existence of an agreement between the Minister of Finance, the Head of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and the Head of BKPM on August 10, 2010, BKPM institution has two new fungi, namely as a front office and clearing house agent.
As a clearing house agent, BKPM undertake projects facilitating public-private partnerships (PPP) in infrastructure. Institutions are also required to prepare information material to investors projects and socialize. (Est / SHD)
