Regent Amran sentenced to 7.5 Years in Prison


Liputan6.com, Jakarta: Former Buol Regent Amran convicted Batalipu Court judges of Corruption (Corruption) Jakarta-related bribery case of businessman Siti Hartati Murdaya Rp 3 billion. The funds are given to the maintenance of the rights of exploitation (HGU) Hartati owned oil fields in Buol, Central Sulawesi.

"Dropping imprisonment for 7 years and 6 months," said Chief Judge Gusrizal at the Corruption Court on Monday (02/11/2013).

In addition to imprisonment, the judge also imposed an additional sentence in the form of a fine of Rp 300 million subsidiary of 6 months in jail.

The verdict is lower than the prosecution. Earlier, public prosecutor (prosecutor) asked a judge sentenced him to 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp 500 million subsidiary of 6 months imprisonment. Prosecutors also requires Amran pay compensation of Rp 3 billion.

Meanwhile, the judge sentenced Hartati 2 years and 8 months in prison and a fine of Rp 150 million subsidiary three months imprisonment on 4 February. The verdict was also lower than the prosecution. Earlier, prosecutors asked a judge sentenced the owner of PT Inti Hartati Plantation (PT HIP) and PT Cipta Murdaya Chakra (PT CCM) for 5 years in prison and a fine of Rp 200 million subsidiary 4 months in prison.
