For the first time, the Airport in RI Go to the 10 Busiest Airports in the World


Liputan6.com, Jakarta: Airport (Airport) Soekarno-Hatta for the first time in the list of the top 10 busiest airports in the world, with Dubai International Airport.

As quoted from the Airport World, Thursday (02/14/2013), Soekarno-Hatta noted as the 8th busiest airport in the world in 2012, defeating Dalas / Fort Worth Airport and Dubai International Airport.

The number of airline passengers at Soekarno Hatta during 2012 rose 14.4% to 60 million people. Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport rose 13.2% to 57.6 million.

Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, the United States, remained in the top position, with 95.5 million tourists in 2012, up 3.4% on the previous year.

Beijing ranked second followed by a 4.2% to 81.8 million. Being in third place, London Heathrow Airport with 70 million passengers.

While Hong Kong and Frankfurt International Airport in Germany were knocked out of the top 10 busiest airports in the world, despite the record increase in the number of passengers.

The number of global passenger aircraft increased by 3.9% in 2012. The increase was driven by passenger growth in developing countries.
